Less than two decades ago, the U.S. was preparing for a future of growing natural gas imports. Today, America is the world's largest LNG exporter—a transformation driven by the shale revolution and innovations in horizontal drilling and hydraulic fracturing.

The impact extends far beyond energy.

Abundant, affordable natural gas has lowered electricity costs, attracted manufacturing investment, strengthened our trade balance, and created hundreds of thousands of high-paying jobs. It has also given our allies a reliable alternative to less dependable energy suppliers, enhancing global energy security.

Now a new chapter is unfolding.

Artificial intelligence and hyperscale data centers require enormous amounts of reliable, around-the-clock electricity. While renewables continue to expand, natural gas remains the backbone of dependable power generation, providing the flexibility and reliability needed to support the rapid growth of AI infrastructure.

At the same time, U.S. LNG exports are connecting America's resource abundance to global markets, encouraging continued investment in pipelines, processing plants, export terminals, and electric infrastructure. The result is a powerful economic flywheel: abundant energy fuels innovation, innovation drives investment, and investment strengthens American competitiveness.

America's shale revolution didn't simply change energy markets—it reshaped geopolitics, accelerated economic growth, and laid the foundation for the next generation of AI-driven industries.

As demand for electricity and LNG continues to climb, one thing is becoming increasingly clear: energy leadership is becoming technology leadership.

As America celebrates its 250th anniversary, our greatest export isn't just LNG—it's innovation, opportunity, and energy leadership.
